The Drifter

Donald Mason

I haven't got a dollar,
I haven't got a dime.
All I have to my name,
Is lots and lots of time.
I've never owned a cattle ranch,
or any property.
For I don't care no I don't care,
It's all alright with me.

I'll ride out o'er the praire,
I'll sail out on the sea.
where ever I happen to wonder,
Is where I want to be.
I've never had a place to stay,
Or even call my home.
I just go out from here to there,
And always on the roame.

I'll hang my hat on a fence post,
I'll hang it on a tree.
For I don't care no I don't care,
it's all alright with me.
